About TowerBid
TowerBid is one shared pixel tower, sitting on one page. Anyone can buy a block, put their website on it, and watch where it lands. There is no feed, no algorithm and no monthly fee: just a tower that sorts itself by how much each block paid, with a single golden block on top.
Where the idea came from
Two places, and it is worth naming both.
The first is Tower Bloxx, the block-stacking game that came preloaded on a lot of Nokia phones in the mid 2000s. A crane swung a block over a growing tower and you tapped to drop it, trying to land it square before the whole thing started to wobble. The look of this site, the crane drop, the construction site at the bottom and the chunky pixel blocks all come from remembering that game.
The second is outbid.lol, which showed that people will pay real money for a public spot when the competition for it is visible. The lesson worth borrowing was not the format but the mechanic: a position somebody else can take from you is worth more than a listing nobody can touch. TowerBid takes that idea and gives it a shape you can actually look at, so losing your place is something you see rather than a row number quietly changing.
How it works
- Enter your website address and the amount you want to pay.
- Before you buy, a marker slides into the tower showing exactly where that amount would put you.
- Pay, and your block drops onto the tower. Your name, icon and a one-line description are read from your own site, so there is nothing to write.
- The biggest payment holds the golden top block. Equal amounts are settled in favour of whoever bought first, so being early counts.
What a block gets you, honestly
A permanent block, a link, and a visit counter on it so you can see the traffic rather than take it on faith. If you hold the top, the banner across the page names you.
What it is not: the links are nofollow, so a block passes no SEO ranking signal to your site. Anyone selling you a spot as a backlink is selling you something else. This is visibility and click-through traffic on a page people are looking at, nothing more.

What happens if someone pays more than me?
They land above you. Your block stays on the tower permanently, but your height is relative, so the tower reorders as new blocks arrive. If you lose the top spot we email you with the exact amount it takes to win it back.
What do I actually get for my money?
A permanent block on the tower carrying your site name, favicon, a one-line description pulled from your own page, and a link. Each block also shows how many visits it has sent you, so the traffic is measurable rather than a guess.
Is a block a backlink for SEO?
No. Every block link is marked nofollow, so it passes no ranking signal to your site. What a block gives you is visibility and click-through traffic from people looking at the tower, not link equity.
Can I get a refund?
No. All purchases are final and non-refundable. Positions are never guaranteed, and being outbid is the point of the site rather than a fault with it.
What stops someone posting something awful?
